API to add job

Is there some (REST or similar) API to add a job or is it only possible with direct database access through the python mrq api?

Adding a REST API to add jobs has obvious security implications, you are basically allowing remote code execution. This should be done with much caution so we've not added it yet in the project.

The other issue is, where should this API live? MRQ is distributed and there is no central server besides the databases to talk to. One option could be the dashboard, though it's definitely not its primary purpose. There could be a route (disabled by default!!) near this to queue a job via REST:
